Click here to see the video! ============================================================================ On June 25, City Hardware and Ace teamed up with Seattle Central Little League to provide a renovation of their field at 1301 E. Yesler Way. The project included a $5,000 donation of materials, a full day of volunteer labor and a hand from Ace Hardware’s national spokesperson and Helpful Hardware Man, Lou Manfredini. About 25 volunteers joined us to clean up the infield and lay 4 tons of new field mix - the same surface the Seattle Mariners use at Safeco Field! Additional improvements to be made under this project include installation of dugout benches for the players and a storage locker for equipment, as well as new base pads and a pitcher’s rubber. With help from City Hardware and Ace, Seattle Central’s field will soon be the envy of the league! See below for some pics from the day!
